Goulais River man faces theft charges

On July 22, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26-year-old Michael Gingras of Goulais River in relation to a theft.

It is alleged that the accused entered a department store in the 200 block of Bay Street where he selected various items totaling just under $330 and left the store without paying.

The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. 

He will appear in court on Aug. 22, 2017.
