On October 11, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 63-year-old William Morden of Letcher Street for impaired driving.

Impaired charges

On Oct. 11, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 63-year-old William Morden of Letcher Street for impaired driving.

It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle in a parking lot in the 700 block of Great Northern Road while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol.

Witnesses observed the male exit his vehicle; however officers located him a short distance away and confirmed that he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on Nov. 20, 2017.
