Male charged in domestic violence incident
On May 19, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
Officers attended the residence of the victim at around 7:30 p.m. on May 19 in order to check on her well-being. The accused was located inside of the residence at that time. It was found that he was bound by a probation order with conditions that he not be within 20 meters of the victim’s residence, not communicate with the victim and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was arrested and charged with 3 counts of breach of probation. He will appear in bail court today.
