CAR-PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT City police investigated a pedestrian - vehicle accident at 10:38 yesterday morning at the intersection of Gore and Bay Streets. A vehicle travelling south on Andrew Street struck a pedestrian who was crossing Bay Street.

City police investigated a pedestrian - vehicle accident at 10:38 yesterday morning at the intersection of Gore and Bay Streets. A vehicle travelling south on Andrew Street struck a pedestrian who was crossing Bay Street. Sixty-nine year old Ida Reed suffered injuries to her face and upper body. Police are asking any witnesses to call the traffic office.

PURSE SNATCHERS CAUGHT
At about 9:00 p.m. yesterday, a 68-year-old female was followed out of the Station Mall to her vehicle by two young men. Once at her car, one of the accused grabbed her purse from her shoulder while the other spun her around. Both accused then fled north on Bruce Street. Several citizens followed them to an address on Albert Street East. Police were called and arrested two men and charged them with several offences.
