City police had a very quiet night last night and have no arrests or anything else to report.

POLICE OFFER DESCRIPTIONS OF ATM FRAUD ARTISTS
There are two women who have been involved in an automated banking machine scam in the Sault. They are placing an object into the card slot. When a customer inserts a card, it appears to be jammed in the machine.

The females then offer the customer some assistance by telling him that this has happened to them and that the victim should re-enter his PIN number to extract his card. This does not work, of course, and they then offer the victim an 800 number to call for assistance. When the victim has left to make the call, they clean out his account.

The first female is approximately 40 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches in height, heavy build with red shoulder-length hair. The second is in her 30's, 5 feet 7 inches in height, medium build with blonde hair. Both women speak with an accent.

Please do not accept their assistance. Call police immediately. T
