BREAK AND ENTERS Sault Ste. Marie police are investigating several break and enters that occurred in the downtown area early this morning.

Sault Ste. Marie police are investigating several break and enters that occurred in the downtown area early this morning. Break-ins have been reported at Mary's Lunch where the cash register is missing and also at Camera Craft where some spotting scopes and other items were taken.

Patrol officers with the assistance of Cst. Jason Rains and his dog, Eagle, were able to track the suspects to a home on Cathcart Street where three males were taken into custody. One adult male has been charged with break, enter and theft as well as possession of stolen property from Camera Craft. He is Blake Hudson, age 19, of Cathcart Street. 15 and 16-year-old young offenders have also been charged.

As of this writing (at 7 a.m.) police are just arriving at Maggie's Collectibles on Queen Street where another break-in has been reported. This report will be updated when police have finished at the crime scene.
