On April 25 city police attended to an office in the 700 block of Queen Street East where a male had caused damage to an office in that building by kicking a hole in the drywall. It was later learned he had slashed some tires of vehicles parked in the lot as well. Further investigation led officers to charge 34-year-old Jonathon Evans with 3 counts of mischief on April 28. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 30.
While on routine patrol, city police officers observed a vehicle proceed through a red light at the intersection of Wellington and Bruce Street in the early evening of April 28. A vehicle stop was conducted and it was determined the driver had been drinking. A roadside test was performed which produced a fail reading. The male was then transported to the Police station where further Intoxilyzer tests were done which produced readings at more than two times the allowable limit. As a result, 66-year-old David Mabon of Riverview Road was charged with Care and Control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 30.
City police responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the Panoramic Drive area late last night. Upon their arrival they were able to determine that 30-year-old Scott Keating of Northland Road was the driver of the vehicle and had in fact driven his vehicle into the ditch. At that point the accused was arrested for Impaired Operation, transported to the station where he registered readings of more than twice the legal limit on the Intoxilyzer and was also charged with over 80. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 30.
