Four charged with trafficking after police seize drugs, weapons at Wallace Terrace residence

Police report over 200 grams of cannabis and two guns were found in the residence

Police have arrested four and seized over $20,000 worth of suspected drugs in a bust on Wallace Terrace.

On Thursday around 8 p.m., officers executed a search warrant a residence in the 200 block of Wallace Terrace.

Police say they found suspected controlled substances including 29.85 grams of fentanyl, 24.3 grams of crack cocaine, 22.8 grams of cocaine, 17.2 grams of methamphetamine, 236 grams of cannabis, 86 methamphetamine pills, 69 percocet pills, 16 oxycodone pills, packaging materials, digital scales, a .25 calibre semi-automatic handgun, a .303 bolt action rifle, ammunition, five cans of bear mace and $3,390 in Canadian currency during their search.

The estimated value of the substances seized is $22,570.

As a result of the investigation, Shane Erdman, 30, Josh Fogg, 34, Dave Maclary, 34, and Josh Wagner, 27, are charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, production of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, seven counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime.

Maclary faces an additional charge of breach of a weapons prohibition order.

Erdman was held for bail court and the other three accused are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 21, 2020.

This marks the third drug trafficking investigation netting charges reported by the Sault Police in the last 30 days.

On June 19, police charged five with drug trafficking when $3,950 suspected drugs were seized.

Just three days later, a bust at a Northland Rd. residence where $25,280 in suspected drugs resulted in charges for three Sault residents.

As recently as Monday, two more were charged with drug trafficking when police stopped a vehicle for fishy plates and seized 16 grams of suspected fentanyl.
