Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police report that one person has died as a result of a single motor vehicle collision early Sunday morning near Batchawana.
OPP, along with Emergency Medical Services and Batchawana Fire and Rescue, responded to a collision on Highway 17 north at approximately 8 a.m.
A news release issued today indicates that a northbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic, entered a ditch, and rolled.
The driver, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
