E-bike operator in Second Line crash succumbs to injuries

Police seek witnesses, dashcam footage of crash as investigation continues

A 29-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a collision two weeks ago.

The woman was operating her e-bike in the 0-100 block of Second Line West when she was involved in a collision with a pickup truck.

The crash happened at 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 say police.

Police were notified late Saturday that she passed away, Sault Ste. Marie Police Services spokesperson Lincoln Louttit confirmed Sunday afternoon.

The collision is still under investigation.

"Anyone who was in the area at the time that may have information, dashcam footage, or video surveillance is urged to contact Traffic Services at 705-949-6300 ext. 348.," he added.

Police are not releasing her name at this time.
