During the course of 2016, a local male has contacted the City Police 911 emergency line in excess of 500 times without reporting any type of an emergency.

This has been an ongoing issue with this male for some time and although he has been warned to stop calling, he has continued to do so.

Recently, an officer was tasked to track these calls from earlier this month to date, resulting in the 911 line receiving an additional 60+ calls.

City Police officers were able to locate and arrest the accused on November 30 and charge him with one count of mischief which obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use or operation of property.

51-year-old Bernard Francis Cadreau, of Poplar Ave., will be appearing in Provincial Court January 9 2017.
