Drug warrant leads to arrest and numerous charges

Police have charged a man with six counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

On April 23, 2018 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Break and Enter Unit and Crime Suppression Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant at a residence in the 100 block of James Street.

As a result of the search, officers located;

  • 5.28 grams of crystal methamphetamine,
  • .84 grams of heroin,
  • 2.44 grams of fentanyl powder,
  • 10 grams of crack cocaine,
  • 12 5mg oxycodone pills,
  • 37.46 grams of marijuana,
  • .71 grams of cocaine, and;
  • One can of pepper spray

The total value of the drugs seized was $4,861. 

At the scene officers arrested 60-year-old Glenn Stevens of James Street. Mr. Stevens was charged with six counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon and one count of failing to comply with a probation order. He was held for bail court.
