On Dec. 17, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male as a result of a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that around noon the accused engaged in an argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated and the accused assaulted the victim by grabbing her by the face and throwing her down. The accused also broke the victim’s cellular phone during the argument.
Police were contacted and the accused was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief. He will appear in court on Jan. 17, 2017.
