Collision leads to drug charges for Sault man

Police seized cash and two pounds of marijuana

On Saturday the 29th of June 2019, City Police attended a motor vehicle collision at Great Northern Road and Fifth Line. Investigation into the collision led to a drug investigation that resulted in the seizure of two pounds of marijuana and a quantity of cash.

As a result, 33-year-old Laurence Foreman of Queen Street East has been charged with:
    •    possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing it contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
    •    drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act.
    •    care and control of a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act.

The accused will appear in court on Aug. 12.
