One person is dead following a single vehicle collision on Highway 17 East.
The Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 East at approximately 11:30 p.m..
A motor vehicle travelling westbound left the roadway and entered the median where the vehicle rolled.
Name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Sault Ste. Marie OPP is investigating a collision at the intersection of Highway 17A and Highway 17B that closed a portion of Highway 17 eastbound overnight.
According to the Ontario 511 Twitter account, the scene was cleared Wednesday morning.
