Citizen reports intruders in vacant building on Third Line West

On March 22, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 50 year old Shawn Husband of Malabar Drive and 41 year old Mark Jardine of Parliament Street for break and enter.

It is alleged that around 10:40 a.m. the accused broke into a vacant building in the 1000 block of Third Line West. The males were observed inside by a citizen who contacted police. Officers were able to quickly attend and both males were taken into custody. Officers found a large amount of copper pipe that had been removed from the building piled up near a duffel bag with multiple tools. These items were located in the same spot where the two accused males were taken into custody inside the building.

Both males have been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of break in tools, one count of possession of stolen property, and mischief over $5,000. They will appear in court on April 30, 2018.
