Cathcart Street man accused of hurting dog

Faces mischief, forcible entry and injuring an animal charges

On July 27, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32-year-old Carl Gormley of Cathcart Street for mischief under $5,000. 

On July 27, 2019, the accused entered the residence of a person known to him and allegedly began to hurt the victim’s dog. He left the residence but returned a short time later and damaged some windows. 

Police were called and took the accused into custody. He is charged with one count of mischief under $5,000, one count of forcible entry and one count of injuring an animal. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9, 2019.
