A driver faces impaired charges after officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Carmen’s Way early this morning.

A vehicle driven by 19-year-old Jessica Bullock “left the roadway, striking a utility pole, as well as railway crossing equipment,” says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

Responding officers believed that Bullock had been consuming alcohol and administered two breath tests. Both results indicated she was above the legal limit.

As a result, Bullock was arrested and charged with:
    •    Operation while impaired – alcohol/and or drug
    •    Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80+)
    •    Dangerous operation

She is scheduled to appear in court on May 29.
