An arrest has been made following a break and enter incident on Tuesday at a business located on Wallace Terrace.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that officers responded to a break and enter call at 4:05 a.m. and found the accused, 41-year-old Calvin Hawryluk, in the proximity of a running vehicle.

Officers observed a large quantity of wire inside the vehicle. Security staff confirmed that the wire in question – valued at approximately $3,500 to $5,000 – belonged to the business.

Police say that break-in tools were located on the accused and in the area.

Hawryluk stands accused of break and enter, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of break in tools.

He's scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 21.
