Arrest made in vehicle theft investigation

Accused was also found to be in possession of the victim's bank card, police say

Police have charged Ginalisa Fusco after a vehicle was reported stolen from an Albion Street residence last Thursday afternoon.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services states that the vehicle was reported stolen at approximately 3:49 p.m.

The vehicle in question was later observed on Great Northern Road at approximately 3:55 p.m. at which time officers conducted a traffic stop.

The release states that a search of the area revealed that 28-year-old the accused was also in possession of the victim's bank card.

Fusco was arrested and stands charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, theft under $5,000 and breach of probation, and is scheduled to appear in court on May 31.
