Arrest made in Albert Street apartment fire investigation

On June 18, 2018 officers with the Investigation Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34-year-old Lindsay Perrault of East Street for arson.

It is alleged that just before 6 a.m. on June 13, the accused attended a multi-unit residence in the 0-100 block of Albert Street East. The accused started a fire in a ground floor unit and then left the area. No injuries were reported, however the building sustained extensive damage.

Officers located the accused on June 18, 2018 and she was taken into custody.  She has been charged with one count of arson and one count of breach of probation.  She will appear in bail court today.
