SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

Just before 6 a.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and firefighters with Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a fire at a multi-unit residence in 0-100 block of Albert Street East.
All residents were safely evacuated and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
We ask motorists to use caution while in the area as Albert Street East has been reduced to one lane while officials investigate the fire.
