Another Canada Day assault charge at SAH

Police say the 59-year-old refused to leave SAH, where he tried to punch and grab the staff member

On July 1, officers with Patrol Services charged Callum Desmoulin, 59, with assault and uttering threats.

Police say that around 11:30 a.m., Desmoulin was asked to leave Sault Area Hospital but refused to do so. After that, he tried to hit and grab a staff employee, threatening to assault them. 

The staff managed to bring the accused outside, after which Desmoulin left the area. 

Police say they located the suspect around 5:46 p.m. at their home, where they were arrested.

The officers charged Desmoulin with assault and uttering threats.

He will was released on an undertaking and will appear in court on September 12, 2022.
