Police have charged Jesse Coulis with impaired driving after officers attended the 400 block of Bruce Street early Saturday morning.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports that officers responded to a call regarding a possible impaired driver at approximately 5 a.m.

"Upon arrival and speaking with the accused, officers developed grounds to believe his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol," the release states.

The 29-year-old accused was arrested and later failed two breath tests.

Coulis is scheduled to appear in court on July 26 and stands charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs, impaired driving – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and driving while under suspension.
