Sault Ste. Marie Police say they've arrested someone for attempting to steal a vehicle after an incident that took place over the weekend.
In a release issued today, police say they responded to a call on Sunday at around 3:30 a.m. after it is alleged that the accused forced his way into a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Elizabeth Street by breaking a window. Once inside, police say the accused located a key and attempted to start the vehicle.
Once officers arrived on scene, the accused was located and as a result, Jessy Audet, 19, was arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft and mischief.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
