18-year-old faces numerous charges after stolen bank card used

The accused was found to be in possession of a small amount of a substance believed to be fentanyl

On July 13, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18-year-old Rune Laudadio of Taskar Drive for theft.

It is alleged that on June 24, the accused took a wallet from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Courtney Crescent. The accused later used a bank card from that wallet to make a purchase at a local store.

Later on July 13, officers responded to another call regarding a female that was attempting to steal items from a parked motor vehicle in the 300 block of Courtney Crescent. Officers arrived and located the accused a short distance away. 

At the time the accused was found to be in possession of items taken from the parked vehicle as well as items from another vehicle that had been entered in the 100 block of Dauphin Drive. The accused was also found to be in possession of a small amount of a substance believed to be fentanyl.

The accused was taken into custody at that time. She has been charged with:

  • three counts of theft under $5,000
  • two counts of theft of a credit card
  • One count of using a stolen credit card
  • two counts of possession of stolen property
  • One count of possession of controlled substance
  • One count of possession of stolen credit card

She was held for WASH court.
