16-year-old charged with break and enter, assault

Police say he damaged a vehicle, a home, and struck the victim twice

In a news release issued today, Police say they've arrested a youth after an incident that took place last month.

Police responded to multiple reports on July 29 at 12:54 a.m. of a male entering or attempting to enter numerous homes in the 0-100 block of Dacey Road. 

It is alleged that the youth also tried to enter a vehicle and damaged it after failing to enter one of the homes. It is further alleged that he caused damage to another home and struck a victim twice. 

As a result, a 16-year-old male was located on Friday, and he was arrested and charged with:

  • assault
  • break and enter
  • mischief under $5,000

He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.
