Spina takes 5-point lead in SooToday federal election poll

Almost 18% still undecided with election day less than two weeks away

Conservative candidate Sonny Spina leads Liberal Terry Sheehan by five points in a recent SooToday reader poll that shows the NDP candidate trailing a distant third.

SooToday.com polled 2,056 SooToday.com readers and asked the question: If you had to vote now, which Federal election candidate would you vote for?

The poll ran from 9/3/2021 to 9/7/2021 marking two weeks from the Sept. 20 federal election. Of the 2056 votes, we can determine that 1,359 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Kasper Makowski, People's Party of Canada 3.99 % total, 3.83 % local    
Marie Morin-Strom, New Democratic Party 11.19 % total, 10.01 % local    
Terry Sheehan, Liberal Party of Canada 29.33 % total, 31.42 % local    
Sonny Spina, Conservative Party of Canada 38.28 % total, 36.57 % local    
Undecided 17.22 % total, 17.95 % local

This result provides for a 95% confidence level +/- 2.13% margin of error in the local community.
