Gap between Spina, Sheehan widens according to SooToday poll

A poll of SooToday readers shows Sonny Spina with more than 40 per cent of the vote, giving the Conservative candidate a lead of more than eight points over Liberal incumbent Terry Sheehan.

Marie Morin-Strom, the NDP's Sault riding candidate, continues to trail in third place, with 10.75 per cent of the vote.

A SooToday poll that ended earlier this week, put Spina ahead by about five points.

SooToday.com polled 2120 SooToday.com readers and asked the question: If you had to vote now, which Federal election candidate would you vote for?

The poll ran from 9/7/2021 to 9/9/2021. Of the 2120 votes, we can determine that 1405 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Kasper Makowski, People's Party of Canada 5.47 % total, 4.56 % local    
Marie Morin-Strom, New Democratic Party 11.51 % total, 10.75 % local    
Terry Sheehan, Liberal Party of Canada 30.47 % total, 31.81 % local    
Sonny Spina, Conservative Party of Canada 40.85 % total, 40.28 % local    
Undecided 11.70 % total, 12.17 % local

This result provides for a 95% confidence level +/- 2.1% margin of error in the local community.
