Multicoloured leaves still hanging onto their branches overhead offer a feast for the eyes.

Crunchy ones underfoot give off that musky-sweet aroma that our minds associate with our individual memories of the season.

Watching the video above (shot by SooToday videographer Drew Armstrong somewhere in a part of the city that he wouldn't really tell us much about) you can almost smell the sugars in the leaves breaking down as the process of decomposition begins.
