City opens its new disc golf course at Pointe des Chenes day park

Disc golfers, rejoice.

The City has announced the new disc golf course at Pointe Des Chenes day park, which has opened just in time for the long weekend.

"We are pleased to offer this unique amenity to our community," said Brent Lamming, Director of Community Services in a press release issued this morning. "Pointe des Chenes day park is an ideal location for an activity such as this and the best part is players can cool off and take a break at the beach. We would like to thank the Sault Disc Golf Association that provided their support and expertise for the development of the course.”

The City now boasts two disc golf courses. The 12-hole Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore Disc Golf Course is located at Penhorwood Park. 

There is also an 18-hole course, Mountain View Disc Golf Course, located 45 minutes east of the Sault on St. Joseph Island.
