Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $100 million in funding for food banks and organizations in order to address the "urgent food needs" of the country's most vulnerable, including northern and Indigenous communities. 

Trudeau also used Friday's media availability to announce that the federal government has struck a deal with Amazon Canada for the distribution of medical supplies across Canada.
