A new restaurant slated to open at Bay Front Quality Inn and Suites is looking to interview potential candidates for a number of positions this Wednesday at the Sault Community Career Centre.

Here’s the catch: We’re not sure what eatery will be replacing Gliss Steak & Seafood, as the name of the employer has not been disclosed.

“I think employers tend to like us hosting the job fairs, because we’re able to provide space for it,” said Keith Brown, communications for Sault Community Career Centre. “It saves them a lot of hassle of organizing the job fairs themselves.”

“Normally what we’ll do is we’ll run the candidates through a handful of pre-screening questions on behalf of employer,” he continued. “Sometimes the employer is on site to do interviews, sometimes they’re not.”

The career centre has confirmed that the mystery employer will be on hand to interview candidates directly during the job fair.

The new restaurant is looking to fill the following positions:

  • Kitchen manager

  • Line cooks

  • Breakfast cooks

  • Dining room manager

  • Servers

  • Dishwashers

  • Hostesses

  • Bartenders

The job fair will take place Wednesday July 11 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the career centre, located at 503 Queen Street.

For more information, contact the Sault Community Career Centre at 705.759.0909 or visit the job fair’s event page on Facebook.
