Fire crews attend to vehicle fire at Giant Tiger (6 photos)

No injuries have been reported

At approximately 5:15 p.m., emergency crews were called to the Giant Tiger for fire reports.

Upon arriving, fire services attended to a motor vehicle in the parking lot with flames coming out of its front end.

After several minutes, firefighters managed to contain the blaze.

The aftermath of the fire left the vehicle’s front end completely destroyed.

An SUV next to the affected vehicle was also attended to but did not appear to undergo any damage.  

Police services had reduced traffic to one lane on South Market Street as fire crews continued to monitor the situation.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this time.

No injuries have been reported.
