After tonight, only one team will be left standing.

After nearly two months of play, the local High School Football League will culminate by crowning the senior division city championship beginning at 7 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field.

The Sir James Dunn Eagles, undefeated thus far, will tackle the St. Basil Saints, whose only blelish is a regular season loss to the Eagles.

The eventual champion will then represent the city at the Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Association (NOSSA) semi-final in North Bay on November 7.

A victory in North Bay would bring the NOSSA final to Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, Nov. 14 against the yet to be determined Sudbury city champion.

The NOSSA champion will then advance to the Northern Bowl at the Rogers Centre in Toronto to face the Thunder Bay representatives in early December.

Sir James Dunn advanced to the final with a 14-1 semi-final win over the White Pines Wolverines while the Saints knocked off the St. Mary's Knights 7-0 in the other semi.

The local junior division final is scheduled for November 7 at Rocky DiPietro Field at 1 p.m. NOSSA playdowns are not held in junior.
