For Keith King, the 2015 racing season at Laird International Raceway has been a solid one.

The veteran driver entered week five of racing at Laird with a pair of top two finishes in three Super Late Model features.

After a week off last week, the Super Late Models returned to the track Thursday for their fourth night of racing and King took home his second consecutive first-place finish.

King beat out Dan Byrnes and Jay Palumbo, who rounded out the top three.

King had a tough start to the season with a sixth-place finish on opening night before taking second place in week two.

With Thursday’s feature win, King continues to lead the Super Late Model points standings with Byrnes and Rob Hiiemaa tied for second.

Keenan Spurway continued his strong start in the Factory Stock Division by winning the divisional feature race. It marks his third feature win of the season.

Spurway is in his first season behind the wheel of a factory stock after five years in the Modified Division.

J.P. DelPaggio continued a strong season with a second-place finish in the feature while Jarritt Varcoe finished third.

The Modified feature saw Mac MacDonald Jr. take the checkered flag. Kevin Oicle and Keith King battled for second with Oicle beating King out for the position by just under a quarter-second.

In the Factory Four feature, John Carter took top spot, nearly four seconds ahead of John Robinson in second. Brent Fewchuk took third.

The race also saw Buddy Palahnuk involved in a crash that did heavy damage to his car in the 20-lap feature.

Midway through the race, Palahnuk came in contact with the concrete wall on the backstretch, ending his night early. Palahnuk was shaken up at the time but did not suffer any serious injuries.
