Jacobs to face McEwen in finals

Team Jacobs’ hopes of winning their first ever Grand Slam of Curling event are still alive after a hard-fought win in the semi-finals against the Bottcher rink of Edmonton, Alberta.
Team Jacobs’ hopes of winning their first ever Grand Slam of Curling event are still alive after a hard-fought win in the semi-finals against the Bottcher rink of Edmonton, Alberta. 
 
The Bottcher rink was skipped by Wayne Middaugh as Bottcher had to fly home for his University graduation. 
 
After a blank in the first end Team Jacobs scored two in the second. The Bottcher rink answered with two in the third and a steal of one in the fourth to go up 3-2. 
 
Jacobs scored a single point in five and the Bottcher rink again answered with two in the sixth end to go up 5-3. 
 
With a blank in the seventh Jacobs went into the eighth end with the hammer and made an incredible double to score three points and win the game 6-5.
 
Jacobs will face Team McEwen Sunday night at 7 p.m. EST in the final game of the Pinty’s Players’ Championship.
