Searchmont Ski Runners bring home the hardware

SEARCHMONT SKI RESORT

On January 17 and 18, 2015, the Searchmont Ski Runners competed in the Dual City Slalom hosted by North Bay Ski Racing Club in North Bay, and Adanac Ski Club in Sudbury.

Alpine Skiers ages 11-17 from Timmins, Elliot Lake, Searchmont, North Bay and Sudbury were met with challenging and exciting race courses.

This did not, however, keep the Ski Runners from dominating the podium!

The following is a summary of race results and Searchmont Ski Runner (SSR) winners:

North Bay Results (January 17, 2015 )

U18 Female:
1st Place – Chianti Brown (SSR)

U16 Female:
1st Place – Dagmar D’Agostino (North Bay)
2nd Place- Georgia Moore –McLeoad (SSR)
3rd Place- Olivia Babic- (SSR)

U14 Female:
1st Place- Delaney Brown (SSR)
2nd Place-Evi Tiesse (SSR)
3RD Place- Sarah Guacci (Timmins)

U12 Female:
1st Place- Alexandra Kidd (Elliott Lake)
2nd Place- Mikayla Cornthwaite (North Bay)
3rd Place- Grace Kreps (SSR)

Lily Elgie had an outstanding performance as well with a 7th place finish.

U16 Male:
1st Place- Conrad Nori (SSR)
2nd Place – Joel Beaudette (SSR)
3RD Place- Joel Gagne (North Bay)

U14 Male:
1st Place- Austin Nori (SSR)
2nd Place- Zak Greensted (SSR)
3RD Place- Gavin Neal (North Bay)

U12 Male:
1st Place- Brendan Elgie (SSR)
2nd Place-Maxwell Hong (North Bay)
3rd Place- Eli Taylor (Timmins)

U16 Female:

The next competition for this Northern Alpine Ski Racers will take place in Timmins at the Boreal Cup, January 31, 2015 – February 1, 2015.
