Brad Jacobs picked up another split at the Home Hardware Canada Cup curling event in Camrose, Alta. on Thursday.
Jacobs opened the day with a 5-4 loss to Brad Gushue.
Gushue scored a pair in the final end to pick up the win and finish the day with a 2-2 record.
After blanking the opening end, Jacobs took a 2-0 lead after scoring a single point in the second end before stealing one in the third end.
Jacobs would take a 3-1 lead into the eighth end before Gushue scored a pair to tie things up. Jacobs would take the lead in the ninth end.
In the evening draw, Jacobs defeated Glenn Howard 7-4. Howard was unbeaten heading into the matchup.
With the game tied up at three through five ends, Jacobs scored a pair in the sixth end before back-to-back steals of one in the seventh and eighth ends to take a 7-3 lead.
Through two days of action, Jacobs sits at 2-2.
Jacobs returns to action for the final day of the round robin on Friday with a pair of games.
Jacobs faces Mike McEwen in draw seven at 10:30 a.m. EST and wraps up the round robin against John Morris in draw eight at 3:30 p.m. EST.
