Superior Heights made it a clean sweep for Sault Ste. Marie schools in NOSSA (Northern Ontario Secondary School Association) football on Wednesday afternoon.

The Steelhawks scored a 14-0 win over the Lo-Ellen Park Knights of Sudbury at Superior Heights to win the senior football NOSSA crown.

The victory came 24 hours after Korah beat Sudbury’s Lively Hawks in the junior final on Tuesday afternoon.

Superior Heights relied primarily on their running game in the win, led by Jeff Auger. Auger ran for 115 yards on 14 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns in the win. Auger scored majors on runs of four and 35 yards.

Max Fisher added to the Steelhawks run game with 48 yards on five carries. Austin Maccarone ran for 34 yards on five carries while Mark McLean ran for 32 yards on four carries.

McLean also had nine tackles and three assisted tackles in the win.

Matthew Glass led Lo-Ellen with 68 yards rushing on 18 carries in the loss
