Final week of racing postponed (updated with new date)

Fans looking forward to the final week of racing at Laird International Raceway will have to wait a little bit longer. Track officials made the call Thursday to postpone the final night or racing for the 2014 season.

Fans looking forward to the final week of racing at Laird International Raceway will have to wait a little bit longer.

Track officials made the call Thursday to postpone the final night or racing for the 2014 season.

The threat of rain throughout the afternoon and evening forced the decision.

Track officials announced on Thursday afternoon that the final race program of the season will be Sunday, September 7.

Qualifying will begin at 2:30 p.m. with racing set for 3:30 p.m.
