The Soo Greyhounds have their first round pick officially in the fold.

Centre Anthony Salinitri has signed with the Greyhounds after being selected in the first round of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection in April.

With the Windsor Jr. Spitfires minor midget team in 2013-14, Salinitri had 23 goals and 40 points in a season that eventually saw him named the Alliance player of the year.

Salinitri was a member of Team Alliance, who won bronze at the OHL U16 Cup.

Salinitri will be one of 40 players expected in training camp, which officially begins on Aug. 26.
