The Soo Thunderbirds will return home looking to cap off a five-game series win over the Blind River Beavers in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs. The Thunderbirds beat the Beavers 3-2 on Saturday night in Blind River.

The Thunderbirds beat the Beavers 3-2 on Saturday night in Blind River.

Grant Syrette and Anthony Miller had a goal and an assist each for the Thunderbirds. Jaren Bellini also scored in the win while goaltender Brian Kment stopped 25 shots in the win.

Scott Marshall and Alex Lewicki scored for Blind River in the loss. Goaltender Dylan Knox stopped 39 shots in the loss.

Game five is set for Sunday night at the Essar Centre. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
