Greyhounds complete deal with SudburyTuesday, December 31, 2013 by: Brad Coccimiglio
The Soo Greyhounds completed a deal with the Sudbury Wolves on Tuesday.
Following their win over the Saginaw Spirit, the Greyhounds announced the acquisition of defenceman David Eccles from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a conditional seventh round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, which originally belonged to Barrie.
“David is a player that our hockey staff really likes in his draft year and whom we are excited to acquire today to bolster our defence for the remainder of the season and beyond,” said Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Dubas in a release.
Eccles, 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, has appeared in 14 games with the Wolves over two seasons, including 12 games this season.
Eccles is expected to join the team on Wednesday prior to their road trip that opens Thursday afternoon in Plymouth.
