OHL Roundup: Seven games showcase busy Saturday night

A busy Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League saw seven games.

In St. Catharines, Barclay Goodrow had three goals and an assist as the North Bay Battalion beat the Niagara IceDogs 6-3. Ben Thomson had a goal and two assists while Mike Amadio set up a pair of goals. Miles Liberati and Matt MacLeod also scored. Anthony DiFruscia, Johnny Corneil and Hayden McCool scored for Niagara.

In Sudbury, Nathan Pancel scored a pair of goals as the Sudbury Wolves beat the Mississauga Steelheads 8-1. Dominik Kahun added a goal and two assists while Kevin Raine set up three goals. Mathew Campagna set up two goals. Dominik Kahun, Connor Crisp and Nathan Cull chipped in with a goal and an assist each in the win. Jacob Harris and Conor Cummins also scored. Andrew Goldberg had the lone goal for Mississauga.

In Belleville, Andreas Athanasiou had a goal and two assists as the Barrie Colts beat the Belleville Bulls 5-1. Zach Hall, Mitchell Theoret, Dylan Corson and Jonathan Laser scored for Barrie in the win. Scott Simmons had the lone goal for Belleville.

In Plymouth, Zack Mitchell had two goals and an assist as the Guelph Storm beat the Plymouth Whalers 5-2. Robby Fabbri had a goal and an assist in the win while Kerby Rychel and Hunter Garlent chipped in with a pair of assists. Tyler Bertuzzi and Scott Kosmachuk also scored for Guelph. Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 53 shots in the loss. Zach Lorentz and Josh Wesley scored for the Whalers.

In Windsor, Alex Fotinos stopped 34 shots as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Kitchener Rangers 2-1. Brady Vail and Sam Povorozniouk scored for Windsor while Eric Diodati chipped in with a pair of assists. Brent Pedersen scored for Kitchener.

In Saginaw, Sergey Tolchinsky had a pair of goals and an assist, including the overtime winner as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds beat the Saginaw Spirit 5-4. Patrick Watling had a goal and an assist while Michael Bunting chipped in with a pair of assists. Alex Gudbranson and David Miller also scored in the win. Matt Murray made 32 saves. Justin Kea, Terry Trafford and Jimmy Lodge had a goal and an assist for Saginaw while Luke Cairns also scored. Jake Paterson stopped 38 shots for the Spirit.

In Owen Sound, Josh Anderson had two goals and two assists as the London Knights beat the Owen Sound Attack 6-2. Max Domi chipped in with a goal and two assists in the win while Bo Horvat had a goal and an assist. Kyle Platzer and Mitchell Marner also scored while goaltender Jake Patterson stopped 35 shots. Kyle Hope and Zach Nastasiuk scored for Owen Sound while goaltender Jack Finn stopped 43 shots.
