OHL Roundup: Four games begin new week of action

A new week in Ontario Hockey League action opened up on Wednesday night with four games on the schedule. In Belleville, Michael Cramarossa had a pair of goals as the Belleville Bulls beat the Mississauga Steelheads 5-2.

A new week in Ontario Hockey League action opened up on Wednesday night with four games on the schedule.

In Belleville, Michael Cramarossa had a pair of goals as the Belleville Bulls beat the Mississauga Steelheads 5-2. Chad Heffernan chipped in with a goal and an assist while Jake Marchment set up two goals for the Bulls. Aaron Berisha and Garrett Hooey also scored in the win while goaltender Braydon Banitsiotis stopped 33 shots. Trevor Carrick and Bobby MacIntyre scored for Mississauga.

In Plymouth, Brandon Hope made 43 saves as the Owen Sound Attack beat the Plymouth Whalers 3-1. Zach Nastasiuk had a goal and an assist for the Attack while Jaden Lindo and Kyle Hope also scored in the win. Carter Sandlak had the lone goal for Plymouth in the loss.

In Sault Ste. Marie, Connor Crisp had the shootout winner as the Sudbury Wolves picked up a 3-2 road win over the Soo Greyhounds. Crisp and Nicholas Baptiste scored in regulation time for the Wolves while goaltender Franky Palazzese stopped 32 shots. Andrew Fritsch had a goal and an assist for the Greyhounds while Darnell Nurse also scored in the loss. Goaltender Matt Murray had a busy night for the Greyhounds stopping 39 shots.

In Saginaw, Kristoff Kontos had a goal and two assists to lead the Saginaw Spirit to a 6-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires. Goaltender Nikita Serebryakov made 43 saves for Saginaw in the win. Justin Sefton, Jimmy Lodge and Mitchell Stephens had a goal and an assist each in the win while Dylan Sadowy and Cody Payne also scored. Ryan Verbeek had a goal and an assist for Windsor while Nikita Yazkov also scored in the loss.
