The Ontario Hockey League saw six games on the schedule as another Saturday night is in the books.
In Erie, Devin Williams made 25 saves as the Erie Otters blanked the Peterborough Petes 4-0. Dane Fox scored a pair of goals while Connor McDavid set u8p three goals in the win. Adam Pelech and Andre Burakovsky also scored for the Otters. Petes goaltender Andrew D’Agostini stopped 21 shots in the loss.
In Sudbury, Brendan Gaunce had the shootout winner as the Belleville Bulls beat the Sudbury Wolves 4-3. Gaunce also had two goals and an assist in regulation time while defenceman Jordan Subban added a goal and two assists. Luke Cairns set up two goals in the win. Bulls goaltender Charlie Graham stopped 50 shots and all three shooters in the shootout for Belleville. Mathew Campagna had a goal and an assist for Sudbury while Jeff Corbett set up two goals in the loss. Nicholas Baptiste and Nathan Pancel also scored for the Wolves. Sudbury goaltender Troy Timpano stopped 41 shots before giving up two goals in the shootout.
In Oshawa, Michael Dal Colle had a goal and two assists as the Oshawa Generals beat the Mississauga Steelheads 5-2. Chris Carlisle added three assists in the win while Jacob Busch chipped in with a goal and an assist. Bradley Latour set up two goals for the Generals. Hunter Smith, Scott Laughton and Aidan Wallace also scored in the win. Spencer Martin made 42 saves for Mississauga in the loss. Jesse Barwell and Dylan Smoskowitz scored for Mississauga.
In Plymouth, Zach Lorentz scored at 19:13 of the third period to lift the Plymouth Whalers to a 5-4 win over the Sarnia Sting. Francesco Vilardi, Ryan Hartman, Connor Sills and Carter Sandlak also scored for the Whalers in the win. Nikolay Goldobin had a goal and two assists for the Sting while Bryan Moore added a goal and an assist. Anthony DeAngelo set up two goals for Sarnia while Nickolas Latta and Davis Brown also scored in the loss.
In Sault Ste. Marie, Patrick Watling scored a pair of goals in the third period to lift the Soo Greyhounds to a 4-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs. Tyler Gaudet added a goal and two assists in the win while Kyle Jenkins also scored. Matt Murray made 34 saves in the win. Darcy Greenaway and Corey Pawley scored for Kingston while Sam Povorozniouk set up two goals. Kingston goaltender Matt Mahalak made 40 saves.
In Saginaw. Justin Kea and Kristoff Kontos had a goal and an assist each to lead the Saginaw Spirit to a 4-1 win over the Barrie Colts. Terry Trafford added a pair of assists while Justin Sefton and Dylan Sadowy also scored. Spirit goaltender Jake Paterson stopped 25 shots. Tyson Fawcett had the lone goal for Barrie while goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood stopped 43 shots.
