Sunday marked a quiet day around the Ontario Hockey League with just a pair of games on the schedule.
In Guelph, Scott Kosmachuk had four goals and an assist as the Guelph Storm beat the Ottawa 67’s 7-3. Hunter Garlent chipped in with a goal and three assists while Zack Mitchell set up two goals. Brock McGinn and Robby Fabbri also scored for the Storm while goaltender Matthew Mancina stopped 29 shots. Joseph Blandisi scored a pair of goals for Ottawa while Brendan Bell chipped in with two assists offensively in the loss. Dante Salituro had the other 67’s goal. Despite giving up seven goals, Ottawa goaltender Philippe Trudeau stopped 40 shots in the loss.
In Oshawa, Cole Cassels scored the shootout winner as the Oshawa Generals beat the Soo Greyhounds 5-4. Scott Laughton scored a pair of goals while Michael Dal Colle and Bradley Latour had a goal and an assist each. Cassels also had a pair of assists in the win. Sergey Tolchinsky scored a pair of goals for the Greyhounds while Tyler Gaudet had a goal and an assist. Nick Pastorious also scored for the Greyhounds while Matt Murray stopped 31 shots.
