Thanksgiving Sunday was a light day on the Ontario Hockey League schedule with just a pair of afternoon games prior to a slightly busier day on the holiday-Monday.
In Kingston, Brock McGinn had three goals and an assist as the Guelph Storm beat the Kingston Frontenacs 9-3. Zack Mitchell added two goals and two assists while Scott Kosmachuk also had four points with a goal and three assists. Brody Milne scored a pair of goals for Guelph while Ryan Horvat chipped in with a goal and an assist. Robby Fabbri added three assists for the Storm. Goaltender Justin Nichols stopped 35 shots. Lawson Crouse and Sam Bennett had a goal and an assist each for Kingston in the loss. Sam Povorozniouk also scored while Henri Ikonen added two assists for the Frontenacs.
In Ottawa, Travis Konecny scored the shootout winner as the Ottawa 67's beat the Sudbury Wolves 5-4. Konecny, Ryan Van Stralen and Joseph Blandisi had a goal and an assist each in regulation time for Ottawa. Nevin Guy had the other Ottawa goal while Philippe Trudeau stopped 48 shots. Connor Crisp, Nathan Pancel, Nicholas Baptiste and Danny Desrochers scored for Sudbury. Goaltender Franky Palazzese stopped 39 shots for the Wolves.
