After opening a short homestand on Friday night with a 3-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers on Friday night, the Soo Greyhounds are right back in action with another divisional game on Saturday night.
The Greyhounds cap off their two-game weekend set with a game against another division rival in the Windsor Spitfires.
The Spitfires enter Saturday’s contest coming off a 3-2 loss in Sarnia against the Sting on Friday night. Anthony DeAngelo scored the game-winning goal for the Sting at 19:32 of the third period to give the Sting the win. Josh Ho-Sang and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Slater Koekkoek scored for the Spitfires in Friday’s loss.
Meanwhile, Friday night was a good one for the Greyhounds as they beat the Whalers. Tyler Gaudet, Jorgen Karterud and newcomer Jean Dupuy scored for the Greyhounds in the win. For full details from the Greyhounds Friday night victory, click here.
The Spitfires enter Saturday’s game with a 4-4-0-0 record and sit third in the OHL’s West Division. They division-leading Greyhounds have a 5-1-0-1 record following Friday’s win.
The Spitfires enter the game with three players who have at least 11 points through eight games. Kerby Rychel leads the way with seven goals and nine points while Brady Vail is second with 5 assists. Ho-Sang is third with five goals and 11 points.
